This has me steaming. So on the last (and previous) AMA’s we heard that no one would be receiving a cost of living increase. It has been confirmed that many exempt positions did in fact receive one. I’ll leave it at that. Time to get serious about bailing on this place.

There were bonuses given out last year for DE&I retention purposes. Anybody know if that's still happening?
I believe they gave it to the poorest and least paid among us. Since I am one of those people I got a 5% bump at mid year. I have gotten between 0-2% annually before. This the first time mid year. I know other people on my team that he ave been here longer got jack because they openly complained in a meeting. The boss called it compression. The strange part is we have no work and they keep adding offshore resources to our team. Everyone is expecting to get laid off at some point. I am getting paid but my career is dead. There are no growth opportunities in our region. I often think of checking out permanently.
Wait, so you guys didn’t get a mid year bump?
They are simply pay raises for retention and recognition. They've explicitly said no COLAs. So if you think people are just sitting around and a raise fell in their lap by doing nothing, that's on you
I think what you’re assuming are COLAs are probably another kind of raise. Sometimes groups do a pay adjustment if they realize their pay for certain positions isn’t competitive and they’re losing people. Or individuals may get a matching offer, or maybe their manager got approval to give them a preemptive raise to keep them from looking to leave. There are lots of reasons someone could get a mid year raise but unless it’s specifically in response to inflation and nothing else it’s not actually a COLA.
I am exempt, and I did not get anything of the sort.
It’s not BS. It’s happening. If you are among those that get or got one, good for you. Last I looked we were all living together in these inflated times.
Can confirm that there ARE cost of living increases.
Indeed they are quite generous, but they only go out to a few people in the C-suite.
Got a 6-8% bump a month or two back.
Charlie got his 20% - not much left over for the little people - but you'get ur 2% next year...
Very simple. Less pay caused by inflation results in less work by us.
I can confirm that the board gave Charlie a 20% increase.. because inflation hit him extremely hard. 🤦🏻♂️
There were no COLA adjustments, but every employee is entitled to one free reacharound as consolation.
Are you referring to the mid year retention raise that a small minority of people got?
no, there have not been COLA increases - for anyone,
whoever told you that is just trying to stir s**t
I can confirm that as am exempt employee neither I nor my employees got anything.
