Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

Should I join? Offer from another OnG?

Been regularly reviewing the layoff ever since the covid restructuring hit the industry in 2020, and have been an interested observer of BP looking over the fence from my current position at EM.

Regarding UK based employees, what are your thoughts as to whether jumping from EM to BPC is worth it? Relatively experienced with 7 years in EM, well ranked and thought of internally but looking outside due to a disconnect with longer term career opportunities and pay in the UK.

Is the Grass actually greener on the other side, or should I stay put?

Just do the math, take the better package. The majors are essentially very similar. Eliminate all debt, maximize your savings and investments, then get on with a good life.
