“It’s probably a cool company with some talented people that will never see the light of day at Truist buried under bureaucracy and pointless processes. At least it looks good on a press release and the founders get paid. Good for them!”
Truer words have never been spoken. The grand irony is Bill, Beau and team do not really want talented people with new ideas - talent is a direct threat to incumbent mediocrity. What they do need is a “story” for the next earnings call to shift attention away from their own operational incompetence.
Assuming any talented people remain post merger, I would love to see their faces after their first meeting with Truist management. Résumés will be flying out the door!
Meanwhile nothing changes for SunTruist “Teammates”, stockholders and the industry. Bill, Beau, Case and their minions will bury these folks and ruin what appears to be a viable platform with nonsense. The search for a CFO must not be going so well. I’m sure they got paid and after completing their time and collecting big stay bonuses they can start another company!

I read the news report on the acquisition, funniest s**t I’ve read in days. Truist needs to buy software to reduce IT cost. It was Case and team who put in all of labor intensive/no value polices in place!
A lot of bologna! Spend, spend, spend.
Data analytics tool. Supposedly reduces IT costs and time.
Probably a "strategic acquisition" to ward off an impending lawsuit.
