It is surprising to see how many people here write that they accepted lower paid jobs just to get out of Oracle as soon as possible. Personally I don't know anyone who agreed to a less lucrative offer, everyone got much better offers.

Why are you selling yourself short?
Because I'm a loser?
Sometimes people change direction, take a position in a different field than the one they were in, which usually means less pay and a (often temporary) setback. But I wouldn't worry too much, in good companies, you can make up the difference, and usually pass your former pay in a very short time.
I’m going to HR! Why this discrimination against me for being 5’2”?

One of the most manipulative sentences in the English language. It’s like asking “what’s wrong with you?” but dressed up to look like the person saying it cares. But they don’t. Definite put down.

My advice to any of you is not to let what happens here affect what happens after.
Very tough for some of us who just accepted jobs 6 months ago or less.
Riddle me this! When you’re hiring and have two equally strong final candidates, do you go with the one with successive short tenures and gaps or the one with 2+ years tenure with progressive responsibility and consistent employment?
if you are with 5+ years of Oracle on your resume? Good luck with a "better" offer. how many companies want Oracle laidoffs?
I am selling myself short just to stay!
