How can you keep working while you know there is an impending layoff coming up?

Cuts will be known on Aug 22 in HR.
Next Week ... August 22nd week.
I know sarcasm when I see it.
It can’t be tomorrow because they told us we would be the first to know.
Thanks to Farley and his henchmen the workforce is left twisting in the wind. Just focus on the job, get the job done they say. Well we're all trying to remain focused but I've seen some good people get tapped on the shoulder to get their belongings and hit the road after many loyal years. No I don't know if they ticked off a superior but I do know they had a pension and didn't have long to go. So Jim you can see why the words of treat others like family ring hollow from you folks at the top and that you have no problem telling media folk, we got too many people. Great for morale, anyways I'll keep chugging along doing my job.
I always kept working when there were impending layoffs because the odds of me keeping my job are greater than the odds of me losing my job. They’re saying 25% will go and that means 75% will stay. If you get behind in your own work you’re going to be buried when you pick up work from those who leave. You don’t want to be so busy that you don’t have time to keep looking for another job.
Tomorrow? Well finally! Took long enough. What have the lazy slackers in HR been doing all this time??
Imagine if these b-ms had to resolve a vehicle launch issue with how slow they operate.
You don’t work. Everyone I know is doing the bare minimum. Great leadership by Ford.
My gardener, a Michigan State grad, says all cuts should be done my August 31st.
According to "F-150 Guy" by labor day you will have a start.
