Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

False flag

Rumors about cost cutting were planted by St. James, so they can blame the false rumors for the bad Pulse results. The reality is reinvent was mismanaged and employees are not happy about it. Bernie wants to place the blame on something else. Later he’ll explain the rumors were all wrong and no cost cutting will happen, expecting people to be elated. It’s all a mind f****

By every metric the company is lagging its peers. While BP will generate significant cash flow and earnings this year one can’t help but wonder, what if? What if we had the right leadership in place? What if we were focused on profits and not affinity groups? What if we were focused on employees and not just chasing skirts…? My fear is the stock will continue to underperform, McKenzie will continue to push us in the wrong direction like so many of their corporate and banking clients, and the company will be another quasi-government agency. Bullocks! Go woke go broke.

Who has 50% of their package as stock? That seems weird. You must be very senior

@2pd. How’s this an entitled view. I’m entitled to the compensation- it’s just that the compensation compared to other peer companies has under performed. Not everyone is here simply because of the overly woke agenda.

Oh trust me. There are many of us that wish we had done. When 50% of your compensation is made up of stock. It’s a huge miss

Investment in Exxon or chevron over same period would have yielded 4X equity growth with commensurate dividends.

You misunderstand the markets. There are things called 'dividends'. If you calculate how many were paid out by bp over the last 26 years then you would have multiplied your money.

ADRs are same price as they were 26 years ago. Value

I think you are being paranoid. Bernard is too busy transforming the company to get caught up in such petty things. Try and be positive and motivate yourself to deliver value with the rest of us instead of trying to bring us down. Thank you
