Stability in any case should just be erased from your mind completely because there is no such thing as stability at Oracle anymore. Those who want a stable position, maybe it would be better to start looking for something new right away.

Oracle is a healthcare company that also happens to sell business applications at this point.
I would point out that this statement is true. TODAY. In 12 months that may not be the case if the shine off their new prize tarnishes.
OCI is in the clear not because it’s capabilities, but simply because Oracle has no other option.
OCI's time is coming. Why do you need all those people and especially architects when customers are demanding the service? Some people haven't got a clue yet. That white flag has been raised. It will be Applications and they will have even more competition and challenges because they were not cloud first applications and database. On premise databases will remain in many cases due to compliance or performance needs. There is not reason a customer will leave AWS, Azure or Google for that matter for IaaS and PaaS. Database maybe but most are moving away from relational databases if they can and in most cases they can.
There are plenty of profitable business units that I can’t see why they would shutter. Limiting outlook to healthcare, OCI, and ERP feels silly when there’s other largely profitable units (energy/water, CEGBU, etc).
McDonalds is hiring. They are having a hard time filling openings. It's a job-seeker's market.
Unless you work in OCI, healthcare, or ERP on the business apps side, I think you're fair game for elimination. Oracle is a healthcare company that also happens to sell business applications at this point. LJE's intentions have been made clear and loud, and it's up to you to decide what to make of that.
Does this depend entirely on what business unit you're in? I feel like some are higher income than others. Lots of fear mongering on here
