From my 'wonderful' SRD experience (not) .... here are a few tips that may help. If you think you'll be getting a pink slip, discreetly do what you need to do to get your personal items off your computer and take your personal office things home now. Don't wait until the last day to do this. Once the announcement is made, each action and every keystroke you make on your computer, plus what time you leave the bldg and what you're carrying out will be closely monitored by the OGC and Security. If you have a company car(s), go buy one whike you can still get a Tag Number. All company vehicles have to be turned in on your last day with both key fobs (or you'll be charged for the missing one). In addition, while there's still time, get your online pension info / insurance data together and do your research now. Calmly try to figure out what would work best for you the long term payout or a lump sum. Its easier to make these indepth decisions while you still have employee access to the company websites. One final thought, if you do decide to go to court as part of a class action -know that the only winners are the attorneys. You see, after you 'win', that big monetary award is divided evenly among the winners. Then the bills start coming in, such as court costs, your attorney fees, filing fees, service fees, appellate costs, refiling costs, etc. Once those bills are paid what remains of that big monetary award is a mere fraction of the original settlement amount, and that's all that will be available to support self / family plus future medical expenses for the next 30+ years. Unless one is independently wealthy, please do your research. Yes, those SRDs did win, but look how much they lost. Good luck
