Im tired of all these “do you think we would get severance??” post. Please STOP Verizon will NOT give out any severance at all, you have a higher chance of getting written up for not selling 5G than a severance package .

What made VSP once in a lifetime to me was most all the mgmt employees got to choose their fate. Yeah in the past some employees got to volunteer for RIFs if they were in the right spot with the right manager but most did not.
Definately helped people with higher year more because the higher weeks and benefits. One of my coworkers had basically been not working for two years when it came up and with their decades of service that is what they were waiting for.
@2yvb+1iXO0nPc Oh please VSP wasn’t a once in a lifetime opportunity unless you were with vz for 10+ years. What I would have gotten was no more than the previous layoff’s severances, trust me with the way VZ is going no one is expecting a VSP. Just a regular layoff with its usual severance. VSP just wasn’t the right time for me. I’m out whether or not there is a layoff. Just hoping for little cash on my way out.

You did not "survive" the VSP. You failed to see and take that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity... you missed out because you were too busy trying to force the square peg in the round ho-e.

Survived through like 3 layoffs including VSP, all of them had some kind of severance. While I doubt it will be as generous as VSP there should be some time of severance when the Verizon home for Holidays program starts. I just hope they do they do it in October
Most employees are given severance if they are let go, but 100% there will not be a Voluntary Separation over (VSP).
So if you get the 'Home for the Holidays' tap on the shoulder you should get something.
