My manager is trying to convince us that my team is safe and that we should not panic. Why he does that, I don't know. Perhaps someone else also has a manager who is trying to raise morale in this way? In any case, I hope that no one will be so naive as to believe in such promises because there are more and more rumors that every department will be affected.

Some departments may not be realigned. I would think SNP programs would be ok.

Have you all been told that “realignments” in your specific department is not expected, and that your department is actually growing and hiring more people. My manager keeps saying that to our team, and that seems to be the universal phrase to say, in order to put our mind at ease, but it’s not working. Plus, I don’t know about you, but hiring freezes have impacted everyone, and we’re really understaffed. Hiring more people haven’t happened in our department in a while.
