Can't believe they took a personal holiday from us.

Thumbs up for the post below. Complete facts!
Grow up was probably from one of the ones who doesn't do their job. Typical response.
Omg grow up people.
Great job Humana. You're only 40 years too late since MLK Day became a National Holiday.
Saying you're diverse doesn't make you a diverse company.
Yes, super disappointed to lose the personal holiday. It would be less divisive if they just added the holiday and not remove the personal holiday.
totally unfair- those personal holidays were given to associates to take days off as they wish. Halloween, Valentine's Day, anniversary of marriage, MLK day, President's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Columbus Day or any other religious holiday or any day for that matter. I don't agree with taking one of our personal holidays and forcing us to be off work on MLK day.
the only thing we lost was the flexability of the personal holiday.. now one day is just fixed to MLK.. more loss of flexibility.
FLOATING HOLIDAYS ARE GIVEN TO USE TO USE HOW WE WANT TO. SO DON'T SAY NOTHING IS CHANGING. THAT IS AN OBVIOUS CHANGE.
@ice+1iV9NVWD No, two floating holidays were added five or so years ago during a benefit refresh. We used to get 7 fixed and that’s it. No floaters for many years after I started. All they are doing is converting a floating to a fixed. We are not losing anything.
What is PCO?
We have always gotten 2 personal days a year. The are making MLK a holiday and taking a personal day for it. Email that came out today in "Associcate Communications".
Where are you finding this info?
I mean, those of us in the PCO are losing 5 vacation days....so this change isn't that big of a deal.
Most managed care providers observe MLK day as a holiday but don’t provide floating holidays. I remember a time where Humana did neither, so no floating holidays and MLK was not a holiday, so we’re really not losing anything here, we are gaining a fixed holiday but only get one floating.
I was a bit bummee to hear this too. Some segment employees already had MLK off as set forth per contract regulations so it really did take away time off.
