Sure a bonus that Ive found has practically nothing to do with what I do. A raise that is little to nothing because I’m not in a fashionable role. Vacation I can’t take because they don’t backfill and successfully guilt me into working more to make up for it. Narrow silos, antiquated skills/technology, and training so I’m stuck. Yup all my fault for letting it go on this long but Verizon isn’t some great place for all.
Then leave, nothing is holding anyone back from going.
Truthfully the younger players are leaving to go elsewhere. A recent person left and doubled his salary.
Yes, you get vaca, raises, and bonuses each year. But for how much longer? This company is mired in debt, no one is safe from layoffs.
and go where? Who else pays you to watch up t0 speed and use blue jeans to talk to someone in the same room as you?
For all the complaining a lot of you do, I think it’s clear you understand you don’t want to be back in the job market. Verizon offers plenty of vacation, raises every year and a bonus.
You got that right. I just hope we get incentives from Hans.
