Yes, he is doing a great job of enriching himself now courtesy of Verizon and getting on boards to collect more $$$ for years.
He’s a briiliant leader. He’s betting on the future and it will pay off. It is just going to take a little more time.
10/21/22 3Q 2022 results will be another disaster, yet Hans will continue with his failed strategy. Hans, the executive team, the BOD, and at least half of the IT execs should all be fired for incompetence. Also McKinsey should be sued.
Rhetorical questions are so much fun
I am trying to decide which ISP is best for my home. AT&T fiber, Comcast 1.2GB cable modem, or fixed wireless from VZ? Is it true the wireless goes out in the rain? Is it true that if the wind blows I drop zoom calls? Do I have to go to the side of the house and adjust that ugly antenna they wanna install? Help me decide.
The whole lot of the senior team should be accountable, including the BOD. But they won't/aren't. Their only answer is the cut heads other than their own.
Over the last 7 years or so tell me one investment, acquisition, product or strategic change, just one, that's made any money or been successful. C band might be the only one and we paid a steep premium.
I won't hold my breath.
H a n s made a 5G vendor rich by buying 5G mmwave equipment installed out of footprint in markets that don’t want or need FWA. These mini cell sites are littering tens of thousands utility poles in residential neighborhoods blasting cancer causing waves to nearby homes. The are absorb by human bodies but not by the 4 devices that can do mmwave or paying customers. 5G UWB mmwave was a waste of 20 billion in capital funds.
Let's say this - a company that could almost be considered a utility - in a social democratic country - went awry maybe due to Hanz's leadership. We cannot say for sure. That same person comes to USA and VZ says HEY! Lead us! Gives person a swanky job then promotes that person to CEO! Cuz capitali$m!
Also let's pay outsiders to tell company what to do and how to do it! Then watch company fail! But who pays the price? That'd be me! I think if I garnered $40-60 million a year base, maybe I should I have an idea or two?
I had covid last week. I only got 1 whole day off. I had to fight tooth and nail for that. I gotta work on my vacation. Im getting outta here.
Franz does
Hans was never a good idea. Take into account the money spent on 5G mmw.
It has no ability to even penetrate car glass. Is the customer going to stand outside, hopefully be able to get in line of sight,, no more than 100 feet away to utilize this?
All the companies with the infrastructure in place for home internet but Verizon is going to reinvent that.
But the arrogance prevails.
Where is the stock price at now?
At best 2-3 years and Verizon is delaying bankruptcy.
VZ = $38.89 nuff said!
Diego the t shirt guy
My job is easy. He tells me what to ask him?
Andy from upto speed does
The world economic foundation and black rock thank he's doing a great job.
He knew to sell 37000 shares in March @ +$50, so there's that
Hans is doing a horrible job. The walls are closing in on Verizon. Once a first class stellar company has reduced to a company barely able to pay the bills.
VZ did not have an option to buy Sprint, no regulator was going to allow that. So we had to pay an aggregious amount for C Band. I'm not going to put that on Hans.
That said, we could have come off our overly conservative, protect Ebitda at all costs position to gain subs; which the Street loves. That was a mistake.I
Just now pivoting to a Strategy to capture non-profit adds was a mistake.
Ben's inability to motivate the employee base has been lackluster.
I'd give him a C- so far. I certainly don't think he's worth $20 million a year.
Or even a half-decent job?
