Looks like the 5th of October it is. I just had the dreaded 1-2-1 meeting invite.
Thought I had heard October 15th
Next week someone will pop up and say 14th October. Been here before. Never any hint of a source. Still, it stops the trolls from getting lonely and helps keep the site traffic flowing. Am I being too cynical?

My resume, portfolio, application letters are all ready to go. But I have very good reasons for sitting around waiting for the RIF. You might think it’s not a good way to live but right now I would be crazy to walk away when there’s a very real chance of being let go with a severance package in the next few weeks. It would give me greater financial security and reduce the pressure on me when looking for the next job.
If I’m still sitting around in 3 months time then I will see your point - you can’t wait forever. But until then I won’t be worrying about cutbacks, just wishing I could be part of them.
Sitting around waiting for Oracle to RIF you is not a good way to live at all! Get your resumes out there right now and find something else. Lots of much better companies to work for than O.
You don't need to continue worrying year after year about what Oracle may do with cutbacks. You deserve much better than this.

Well, it sounds like you have another month until after Cloud World …. As long as stock does not hit 63. After that all bets are off.
You’ve got to hand it to them, they couldn’t have handled this situation worse if they’d tried to. Everyone is just perpetually living in fear of losing their job while remaining completely unproductive. The only way you’ll know a date is when a last minute 1 to 1 meeting drops into your calendar.
I wouldn't bother trusting a specific date when the info is as vague as it is here. If they're right, that's a bonus. But best not to get your hopes up. Some people post dates on here to mess with you. Others are just guessing. The people who really should be able to answer your question don't have a f-----g clue either, because they've made a complete mess of the restructure.
