Affirmative action is an outdated, racist metric. It was originally created to increase diversity. However, that bloomin baby booming idea is useless in today’s day and age. Today, the minority is the majority population in the USA. This means that Caucasian people are being discriminated against, which is also resulting in NOT Hiring the best candidate for the job, but hiring a candidate that is under qualified but checks those outdated, bias affirmative action boxes.

The fact is if we are pushing for equality, then affirmative action in laws have to go. Equality is about picking the best individual for the job based on their qualifications. It has nothing to do with their race, religion, beliefs etc. it’s all about the best candidate for the job, or at least it should.

Check out the photos in the Well Life message sent today. How many DE&I boxes does it tick? No photos of white men. Talk about inclusion.

If you set quotas to increase the percentage of any group of people employed, it's akin to affirmative action (for Blacks), not diversity.

Is it fair to not get an interview because you don't have a white Anglo name on your resume? Changed my name on the same resume and got 3 interviews in one day. So everyone does not get an equal opportunity. It's not about getting a job because of some physical characteristic, people just want the same chance to try and alot of people don't get it. I don't care if a white man gets a job over me if he's more qualified, he should, but I do care that I don't have an opportunity to interview if I am qualified too. I mean seriously interviewed, not to check off a box.

If your race or gender has not denied you an opportunity, please be quiet.

I can’t believe it. I opened my company email and found another required DE&I course. Never really thought about color before the world started pushing DE&I on us. Thank God I’m not stuck in the office. I’m sure I’ll offend somebody just by showing up. Maybe they’ll demand reparations from me for being born.

There’s always some group fighting for handouts. Maybe WF should pay reparations to its employees. Years of scandals probably makes me unemployable, now.
I think of it like the lottery. If you were a loser before you win the lottery, you’re still a loser with a lot of money. There’s no such thing as entitlement.

Absolutely false. They repeatedly fought the government for reparations and it was only finalized in the past couple of decades. You need to learn more history.

I’m multi racial. Meaning I’ll identify with whichever race pays me the most. I have three to choose from. With all this DE&I talk, I wonder if I’ll get a raise/promotion if I change my race in the WF system??? See which one gets me a free home from the company…

Asian people were put into camps in the 40s. Before that, they suffered as much racism as anybody. Chinese were brought over as virtually slaves to work on the railroads.

The point is that they went home when all that ended, picked up their lives, and made something of themselves. There comes a point where there are no more excuses for what happened well over a century and a half ago, just a need to work on your part for a better future for yourself and your family.

Many opportunities are out there for you, probably more than most people at this point, especially to get educated. You just need to go do it.

DE&I is nothing more than affirmative-action 2.0. Farther back in history it was known as the United order. It just doesn’t work. Life isn’t supposed to be fair. It’s what we make of it. Hint: Turn off television and social media. Begin thinking for yourself.
