bus analyst here, i like my mgr and my team. i dislike long hours and stress. it's hard.
By laying off a few here and there they can keep it quiet and protect stocks. If they did it all at once they would have to make an announcement that they are getting rid of what ever percent of the work force and stock prices would fall
Speak out to whom? To what end? There's no governing body to appeal to in an attempt to stop this.
It's also very interesting to me that I couldn't find any WARN notices and nothing has been on the news where I live (maybe I'm too far from the epicenter) about the HUBDREDS of people Humana has laid off so far this year. How, why is it being kept so quiet?
