50 people here, 70 people there … WF loves the small batch layoffs to avoid making the news. Goldman Sachs is just going to open the flood gates.

Please please, please, lay me off. I want my golden severance. I’ll need the money to pay the shrink for all the emotional psychological damage this company has done to me.
Just kidding. I really do like this company. It is so heavily flawed by design that it’s so easy to find things to fix. I feel like a virtual janitor, pushing my virtual broom every day.

Maybe for you but my group is one week in office one week remote and our tech guys are here for three days a week and home for two.
In Iowa, they have to notify Dept of Unemployment 60 days in advance, they notified that 75 more Iowans will be laid off between 9/28 and 10/25... My guess is payday Wed 9/28 or last Thurs 9/29. 75 in Des Moines usually equates to 300-400 laid off total each month.
There is no 5 days RTO that’s BS
They are hiring in credit mortgage credit risk. I don’t get it. Where are the layoffs??? It has to happen, but no comment on the elephant in the room—what is the direction of mtg
Who? Where?? Please tell me they are dumping all the mortgage credit risk toolbags!!! Who’s going? It’s anonymous, right? Come on, man!!
They announced back to 5 days in office after Labor Day & now the job cuts. Not hard to figure out who they will cut if they don’t RTO.
Goldman Sachs also has brass ba--s. WFC lost theirs.
Others just hire contractors for large projects and cut them loose when they are done with them. Nationwide is the biggest example of this and Lowes has done it too.
Every large company that can avoid WARN does so. It is a very standard practice to ride just below the limits and roll layoffs on 90+day periods. Only companies in really dire straits, or those really looking to shift gears and save a lot of money will resort to laying off that many people at one time, and all the press that goes with it.
