People seem to rotate in and out of the same banks after dealing with the same problems. Many of my coworkers coming from b of a, us bank, truism, citi, etc….

Probably just working the system. Leaving and coming back is the best way to get a bump in salary. None of this 2% for 10 years cr-p. One jump is an easy 15K. Do that every couple years and you're well ahead of inflation.
Consider a regional bank or something outside of the big four - you'll find a much different culture and happier employees (and clients).
It's really sad as WF used to be the #1 middle market and business banking (sub-MMB) lender. It moved the business banking team from the community banking side to commercial banking and proceeded to run the business into the ground and then fired everyone and basically shut it down. MMB is likely still dying a slow death. Overall, just terrible leadership.
Find a mid-size or smaller institutuon with a good culture...they exist. Chase, BofA, and all the large regionals are going to be similar to work for. Crazy loan and revenue goals, entering a gazillion sales calls in Salesforce, yada yada..
I’m just saying the license virtually guarantees you employment. Like you said, people fail it and lose.

@1uxh+1iFvghnm the only thing with getting a FNRA license is finding a sponsor. Most firms that will hire you without expects you to obtain it within 90 days of hire. Ive seen people fail it and lose jobs because of it.
Get sponsored to take your series 7 and series 63 exams. You’ll be too valuable to be displaced.The company will just keep moving you around.Management comes and goes, but those with actual intrinsic skills keep getting moved under new lethargic management.
Yes, if you are talking about retail or call center type jobs. Low skill required and hardly any barrier to entry.
