I just saw that Humana had layoffs once again and my heart broke for my former colleagues. I left about six months ago for a nice pay raise and a significantly lower workload. The change of atmosphere and culture has done wonders for my mental health. There's no need to stay and let them decide your fate when the grass is definitely greener on the other side.

Yes they have to give you 60 days notice
would we get 60 days notice at least?
If you like working 50 to 60 hours a week with tons of stress, no job security, cr---y benefits, then Humana's the company for you! I remember Bruce Brussard (aka smiley) saying something about Associates getting used to the "New Normal." Translation: get used to working your A$$ off. Its an agile methodology, afterall. Projects just keep coming with tight timelines. fun!
def not always greener.... been at Humana 9 years, not perfect but I like the company, its corporate America, layoffs are part of life, I'm sure there are areas of toxicity, but there are many areas that are not toxic and many leaders which are good. not sure where you went but as a seasoned nurse, I wouldn't go back to hospital ( they are way worse) and other insurance companies are pretty similar, so there are ups and downs to whatever area you choose, personally I am happy and hope to retire one day from Humana , if I get laid off, Im still honestly thankful for the almost 10 yrs of WAH.
SAME. I left 2 months ago and I now see exactly how toxic the environment was. I also saw how seriously underpaid I was (including 3 "salary adjustments for market" in the last 3 years I worked there. How about you just pay employees what they are worth.
Not always greener, glad you are happy
