Is this the new norm at Nike or am I just unlucky and my new manager is an id--t who can't realize that those of us who've been here for over a decade know what we're doing much better than he does? He's grating on my nerves and I swear I'm going to go off on him one of these days. Until then, I'm venting here.

while i haven't gone off on a manager as much as I would have liked to there are times when i just won't back down and will oppose their bullsh-t to the bitter end. during one such convo a particular manager suggested i ki-l myself at the end of that conversation. i contemplated blowing up and telling him to die in ditch but chose not to as I figured he'd embarassed himself enough for me to chalk that up to a win. that did help us end a particular project that was wasting time for our team so it was worth it. its a definite power asymmetry because those PoS can just get rid of you or make your work life annoying and toxic if they want to, so be careful when blowing up is all i would say
GTFO at 5pm if you can, quiet quitting and FTW.No need to do anyhting, sooner or later that person will be gone only to be replaced by a more miserable one. Goodluck!
