OP has a very rural mindset. Social responsibility doesn’t affect 401K but poor leadership and lack of vision does.

Verizon lacks vision. As they announced new technology like MEC and other partnerships, I felt it wasn’t relevant in my day to day, there was little to no compensation nor motivation to push those services. I was in B2B and my interaction with customers had little relevance to the new announcements.

The inevitability of Telecom becoming a commodity has taken shape. Now, it’s mainly about what carrier has the cheapest service, then that snowballs into affecting profit margins, then eventually employee pay. Retail suffered the most, due to that, the shift to indirect outsourcing like Victra is visible. Soon, or recently, the shift to indirect has been or will be realized in B2B.

I left Verizon to a software company where I am a lot happier. They are also a so-called “woke” org if not “wokier” than Verizon. The company’s stocks are thriving, we’re paid a lot better (I’m trending $250K) and most importantly, the vision is clear. If you’re wanting to leave Verizon start your exit strategy now or be like OP kinda like blaming your own children for their poor behavior..

this the reason why messages have been sent out in my district to avoid speaking to reporters? because the VZ stock is in the bin, and employees are talking about U?

Woke=Broke=Hans. But don't worry you are working for one of the best companies on earth, the paid rankings by leading liberal publications confirm it.

If your sales or productivity was down 10% from where it was Five Years Ago, what would VZ do to you? Not sure why Bronze Hans gets a pass.

"We charge customers too many fees and we have an awful website and mobile app."

You forgot to mention our systems don't work well, outsourcing care to india, our comp plans, our leaders, and our services all suck. There's really nothing innovative that would entice customers to want to be with us. We aren't the most reliable network anymore. We're as good as every other carrier now except we offer ridiculous products and services like an xbox with home insurance (still haven't met anyone who willingly wants to pay $25 a month for that) and our home internet. What else do we really sell? There is absolutely nothing special about this company. Every day I go into work I run into another situation where multiple things don't work and multiple customers waiting to ask me how to get emails to load. Also whoever said Mr. Vestburg is a brilliant leader is a troll cuz thats funny AF

It doesn't have anything to do with being "woke," you mo--n. The company has taken a commendable stance for racial and LGBTQ equality, which has not impacted our financials or stock price.

If you're brainless enough to blame social responsibility for our declining stock, I would hate to work with you. The stock is declining because Verizon offers lackluster promotions and we're losing customers to our competitors. We charge customers too many fees and we have an awful website and mobile app. AT&T and TMO are just as "woke" as us and they're not having the same issues. Now go back to watching Fox News with your head up your behind.

Mr. Vestburg is a brilliant leader who is taking this company out of the dark ages and into the light. Everyone should be thankful and in awe that they work for a company with such outstanding leadership and forward vision!

They laid off the redundant people after the sprint merger. Has nothing to do with their financial state.

What about the news reporting how many T-mobile employees got laid off last week? I heard it was on the neighborhood of 400s
