Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Proof of Earplug Fraud

For those service members who used 3M’s trademarked, dual-ended Combat Arms earplugs between 2003 and 2015, the aforementioned design blunders allegedly resulted in hearing loss, tinnitus and loss of balance.

Documents from previous lawsuits against 3M, filed on behalf of service members and the Defense Department, show that the manufacturing company was aware that their earplugs were inadequate as early as 2000, but withheld this information for another 16 years.

16 years!!!!!

If you haven’t realized it by now, 3M is going bankrupt. If you aren’t looking for something else shame on you. We are going to get the purple shaft.

Is the original Aearo group (pre 20008) liable for any of this?

Not sure what the original poster is trying to say............3M purchased Aearo in 2008 (which was 14 years ago). The earplugs in question weren't a part of 3M operations in 2000 or 2006 (which would be 16 years ago).

5 billion settlement = 25000 per vet on average. They will be lucky to get 5k in bankruptcy court and wait years to get it. Thankful for the pension protection act of 2006. That will mean retirees don't get screwed while the greedy lawyers get a pittance. Go 3m!

Sounds like to vets needs to make an offer of 5 billion in settlement. Otherwise, 3m should tell them you'll be waiting a few years in bankruptcy court and get a fraction of what we have offered.
