We have more than enough fat left that needs to be trimmed not just through layoffs but through firings as well. Sadly, those people are the only ones who are safe here and don't have to worry about being affected. We lose good people while the useless fat remains because they know the right people and kiss the right butts.

Companies should focus on growing, not trimming. Trimming is not a sustainable model and always ends in disaster
Skilled and talented employees are now mythology at verizon. We have nothing but fat to trim.
The real fat is not in VBG or VCG, it's it the bloated corporate BU, home to the do nothing's that have have collected 100+% stis for last few years.
I have a coworker who has figured out that she can help one business customer for the entire shift, because that's how business works it's going to take forever. Then she just gets celebrated for closing business while everyone else generated 20x more revenue for the company. Always been a clown show at this place.
the fact that anyone from retail wants to take credit for selling smb is laughable. the below comment explains it all…… you don’t. your smb rep does.
We get told that we need to sell more SMB but we were 150% to new last month with one of the highest quotas in the state. My response was I can do an entire 5 line consumer account with set up in the time it takes me to just get the credit to go through on SMB, not to mention all of the other errors that I am going to receive in b360. So what is the point if it is paying us the same?
Y’all do realize that the consumer channel is selling SMB and that doesn’t benefit our channel at all. VCG just got cut bc consumer sales were down. VBG no cuts that I’ve heard and they had growth. Why did they have growth? Well I’m glad you asked…Did you come here for biz or personal? We just shot ourselves in the foot. The VBG is next…way too much fat. They don’t do much of anything in Corp or Indirect.
