If nothing else, didn't we deserve at least a little more transparent layoffs?

This is nothing new. Only way you will find out whom was RIFd is by word of mouth.
I feel for everyone as it is emotional to see co-workers leave.
Frustrating is the word I would use
It’s embarrassing when your own team tell you they are laid off and had HR and some random senior leader call them before you know as their direct manager. It’s a royal clustef***
LE what did you expect. he is a certified a$$ho-e. pure evil.
What were you hoping for? Your severance check with a glass of champagne on a platter?
Only if you get fired personally on Lanai by LJE.
Next you will want respect!
This round seems to be more convoluted than others. I was laid off (somewhat voluntarily as I am retirement age and told my boss a few months ago to lay me off if a RIF occurred instead of someone younger with family) but nobody remaining in our team knows I'm gone until they contact me with questions. Some people weren't told their managers were laid off or which team members are gone. Previous RIFs left most of the management in place along with senior people but this RIF hit all levels which seems to be part of the confusion as the old information grapevines are gone.
haha , transparency and oracle , you must be joking
