I haven't received a call yet but I hope that those affected will be able to quickly find something better on the job market.
Since I haven't been here long, I'm wondering if and how these RIFs differ from previous RIFs here? I read in one of these posts that there are some important differences.

Yeah, other than it being much bigger, this one seems exactly like the one in CX in 2020 in terms of how it was carried out, severence, etc. (I survived 2020 but got RIF'd this time around.)
What's different with this RIF? Easy, it's a whole lot bigger than others.
You should be looking for another job right now. RIFs are commonplace at Oracle, not a good place to try building a career at.
