Did any management get the axe?

Or is it all ICs per usual?

I know of at least one VP that was let go. What's odd is that the VP's team stayed, just moved under a new manager.

Ha ha, I won't be shedding any tears for "senior managers" that were making 4 times my salary and providing 0 added value relative to an IC. But I guess, we're all thrown to the wolves, now.

The latest RIFs from Oracle are different from the past. Previously, they retained managers & senior developers in order to rebuild teams. The latest RIFs have been entire teams and across all levels in teams that survived. Oracle seems to be further embracing the CompuServe module with its legacy products which is to provide minimal support for those products while bleeding every penny they can from existing customers.

The entire senior leadership team in marketing is gone, it was a total wipeout. This was not just for ICs.

A couple senior managers have unfortunately been impacted as well.

Grim times for all of us here at Oracle.
