They are well experienced in layoffs. They have it every year (except last). Also Cisco management has streamlined the process. Before Cisco dies, something to learn from them

You can also learn from Oracle that has been laying off consistently for decades.

So, all companies eventually die within few generations. Facebook is on a faster track than even IBM. Oracle, despite all grievances posted here, has been trying to fight a good fight. The guy who messed up Gen 1 cloud is a top boss at another place, most of you would know. If they had the right people a decade ago, Oracle would have been at a far better position today.
