Hiring while firing

Oracle Cerner has 955 open jobs posted amid Oracle layoffs

Oracle Cerner is still hiring for 955 positions even as Oracle trims down its U.S. workforce.

Oracle is reportedly cutting thousands of jobs worldwide, and layoffs in the U.S. began Aug. 1, according to Bloomberg. Oracle Cerner also cut jobs, including in software engineering, talent acquisition, marketing, application services, population health and more, according to posts on Reddit.

But the company also still has more than 950 U.S. job openings posted on its website. The open jobs include systems engineers, consultants, technology architects and sales leaders. Oracle Cerner is also looking for a regulatory affairs strategist, data analysts, clinical informaticists and more. There is also an open medical assistant role advertising a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Some of the open roles would work directly with health system clients, and around 260 roles are connected with Oracle Cerner's federal contracts.

Oracle is very likely still hiring for different positions rather than trying to help people move. Oracle is not big on helping people. Many of the laid off people are probably applying for jobs within Oracle right now.

just proves the point that O is moving away from being a leader in the DB SW Biz and focused on the Health care Technology biz.

Sure we will limp along with the DB SW biz but LE sees Health care as the new opportunity that O will pursue... The postings prove this.

O is not a place to be anymore for those looking to future opportunities.
