Looks like the stores are going back to the individual commission structure. Who didn't see that coming ? You can only bleed so much before those egos got deflated.

There's so many good replies on here that are receiving thumbs down votes. I'm guessing those are coming from reps who can't sell and are receivers from higher performing reps under team comp. If individual comp is restored, these reps would not do well. This is part of the problem in why results are so poor. Blame the execs all you want. They're not the ones leaching!
Individual will never come back, commission will most likely go away at some point, the writing has been on the wall for years, there has NEVER been a change to the commission structure that benefited sales reps, only the company.
For the poster about trials: there were numerous team comp trials. Those conducted with a test group and a control group ALL showed lower sales results. Those without true test/control groups were manipulated to show growth. Take a sec to surmise who led what...make sense?
Krista was the axe man. She was just put in place to deliver the bad news. You really think she worked her way up to csuite from retail? It's because she's a dei with no use, except they found one for her, axe woman then promoted to mail room. Makes sense why you don't hear from her anymore
KB just blamed all the failure on the JCPenney guy. He got fired after like 11 months of overseeing her disaster. She's slick.
Can't believe KB was promoted after instituting team comp. Trial after trial showed much lower sales with team comp. And here's where it's at. Lower growth and sales in stores driving misses against Wall Street expectations. This also drives the huge stock price drops. Reps make less money as well. I guess under woke culture, accomplishments and driving growth don't matter as much as diversity.
Verizon has the worst commission sales pay plan in the industry. FACTS. Hourly pay may be competitive but as far as being compensated for sales it’s the worst. You will never get the most out of someone in a sales job unless they are on a direct commission pay plan. There have been books written about this. Verizon has even paid nationally known speakers to do seminars etc on the topic of commission sales. It’s crazy that in a short span of 2 years Verizon has created a culture of figuring out how to do the least amount of work and have it be acceptable. The funny thing is the numbers prove this but yet they aren’t doing anything to change it.
I heard the Canadian Tuxedos are coming back too. Manon feels homesick.
You asked and we listened.
I'm sure KB was 1st in line to say she was wrong.
I can't support my family what makes your think I want to put food on other people's table?
I have heard there was trials but haven't seen any evidence. I also can't see them bringing it back. Have you seen these new hires? They would sink so fast, better hope you.dont have any vets in your store, you will get eaten alive.
When a new activation payout breaks down to earning me about $1.00 per line what is the incentive to stay late, follow up or worry if the sale closes? Growth is a win for Big Red but mehh to us reps. Shoulder shrug. Don't even get me started about accessories or protection. You want me to get excited and post on spark that I closed a VZ Home?? Come on! I don't get excited for 40 cents. I probably wouldn't even bend over to pick these pennies up if I found them laying on the street. Socialism doesn't pay the bills or get me to over achieve. I will keep doing the minimum and nothing you say will change that as long as you keep paying the minimum.
Even if true, still hard believe they will reverse course after making such a big deal about team commission being what we all wanted. If it does come back somehow, no chance it will be as good. No comp plan in the history of any company gets better for the rep after a revamp. All smoke and mirrors. Would love to see if any VP in the company has the courage to admit they were wrong.
