Indirect account managers affected
Please post the position that got the call about a RIF so we can know what’s going on.
Touch bases with your boss's boss is not a good sign. Good luck people
Hubby just got called from his boss's boss. 1 month notice, 35 weeks benefits and pay.
Mystery touch bases dropped in our teams calendar for this afternoon
Calls start in an hour for me -- SM states a lot to cover but nothing to worry about
Update call at 3 to hear about the carnage (SOPE)
Earnings not met = layoffs. You can count on it. There will be layoffs by EOY, if for no other reason to be positioned for reduced budgets next year.
See I knew nothing would happen.
Wouldn’t be surprised. The way things went the second quarter particularly in Consumer, things are bad. Wall St expected 160k adds, but VZ produced 12k. VCG lost 200k and VBG added 200K, but cost went way up. Look at the new travel policy. EVP/SVP approval required. No one is traveling if you are not carrying a quota. BJN meetings will still be a thing. 5G BI and Home adoption rate is not fast enough. And it is inconsistent. We continue to play margin games while TMo is giving everything away eating market share. I and we need to stop spending. It will be a rough Q3 and Q1. Resume and PPT check!
Historically RIFs are announced on Thursdays but leadership knows the night before … Sr Mgrs here, go ahead, share!
Flat model is best way to go. why the f..K do we need SrMgr for every 4 to 6 employees.
just to approve the time sheets.
@1ken+1i2a2m9
A lot of people are having their mid year reviews right now.
Transparency is a wonderful thing. Step up Sr. Managers and give us the details.
I totally volunteered as tribute,
So can't tell what it was about but noticed my director had 5 back to back 15 minutes with their Sr. Managers today. They have 6 Sr managers. Another director had 30 minute back to backs with all but one of theirs. Anybody a Sr. Manager here haha? This is looking more and more truthful.
Yes.
Half my team and management have left the rest are still looking. If you stick around maybe you'll get a promotion to a higher rung on the sinking titanic and they'll brag the next town hall about how many people they have promoted.
@ucv+1i2a2m9n Directors so far. SMs will have an evening call pop into their schedule later today for an announcement.
Lol how is it "not likely". We are in a hiring freeze, travel on lockdown, we just had a horrible quarter. We've had major executive turnover. We have every layoff red flag in the book.
Calls at what level? Is the info down to Sr manager, director, vp? Need to do so e calendar checks.
Not likely.
