My understanding is that to be counted as “in-office” on a day we need to badge in and connect to office network. I forgot my badge today and had to get the security guard to look me up and let me in. Anyone with knowledge of the nuts and bolts of how this is tracked know if this will still get picked up as a “badge-in” for me?

Some groups (not all) are tracking badge swipes and even have a dashboard. The minimum acceptable is 5 days in office a month.
working the us empire is like adult care. and most love it bc they have lots of stuff to buy to fill that emptiness
Won’t count against you. You need a badge swipe or a LAN connect.

Obviously it won’t actually be a problem and it would be easy to confirm someone actually went in if questioned. The question is, have they bothered to make their reporting thorough enough that we won’t be asked and have to go through the pain in the a** of explaining what happened and verify we came in 3 days? Not to mention, if the real intent of RTO is to reduce head count, as many here claim, then are we really putting it past WFC to be that pedantic?
Unpopular opinion here, but if you have to ask, then maybe corporate work isn't for you. Your concern presumes that someone may question whether you went in or not. One, the criteria for said person to question you over one day seems out of line. Two, even if you were questioned there are many other ways to verify office status that day, from network activity, to a parking or transit receipt. Heck, your phone is probably tracking you, so you could pull up a timeline. Not to mention, you'd be on security cameras, testimony from the guard, others in the office, etc., etc. Real professionals would know that this is not an issue of concern.
Yes, this is truly ridiculous. We're basically treated like the little kids that get linked together with the phone cord looking thing while a teacher leads them around on a field trip. All that should matter is our work product. It's either good and timely or it's not. Where it happens is irrelevant, unless of course you just want to torment people into leaving. FRTO.
Only nits would worry about one day
Unreal we have to ask questions like this and worry about it. Signs of a TOXIC work environment. Thank you to all of the JP Morgan Chase elitists running the company.
I’d be asking the same question if I forgot my badge, but It’s so sad that we have to care about this.
Yes.
It will get picked up
