Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

So apparently a sim card change can get someone fired!!

Sim card changes, or anything non sales related done on a given account will affect a rep’s sales attainment target too now based in PGAs, Insurance, Accessories & Strategic. So what are we not supposed to work at all now, since everything is considered a transaction?? There will b a huge outrage company wide soon

My store has known this since QOS was rolled out. I always do everything in one transaction and do not hesitate to tell customers that a sim change does not fix certain issues. If I KNOW a sim will not fix, I will not waste a transaction. I also will have them call tech support back if it is something they should have taken care or

“Network has degraded significantly and tech supports only solution is send them in for a SIM change which we know will not solve the problem.”

True story....earlier in the year a customer walks in with a wireless charging pad they bought a few months before. It stopped working .They said the guy they talked to in customer service said it probably needs a new SIM card. As ridiculous as this sounds I believe the customer.

Yes this is disappointing at how long it took leadership to realize this and make everyone actually aware. It’s also sad that we literally have to do multiple orders to process a purchase for a customer and now get double, triple or even quadruple dinged. No one in our store even tries for the 5 bar goal since our system always requires so many orders. Oh and not to mention an endless amount of SIM changes that come into stores. Network has degraded significantly and tech supports only solution is send them in for a SIM change which we know will not solve the problem.

Did something change? Because this has been the case since the quality of sale report came out.

Anything that generates an order number adds a sale to the bucket of sales. If you change a sim card but don't add a new line, with a strategic add, and insurance with a bundle you take a ding in every category. Sell a quick charger? Hope they add a line with insurance and get a tablet or you just hurt yourself.

Kind of funny that leadership didn't even realize until about a month ago that doing things in multiple transactions/splitting up your orders hurts you and your bars. Making the potential to get 5 bars even more difficult. They want everything done in the same order and you can imagine how that goes and especially considering somethings just shouldn't go in the same order and can't.
