Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Looking forward to coming layoffs

I've been here for over a decade. If I'm affected, the severance should be good enough to help me through the job-search period (and even give me a couple of weeks to kick back and relax). I know not everybody feels this way and if I could, I would volunteer. As it is, I'll have to sit, wait, and hope my name is on the list.

Nurses DO NOT make more money in hospitals or doctor offices.

Just received an email about the Medicare realignment. Our leader informed us if a possible RIF as Humana needs to downsize quite a bit. There is supposedly a share point site entitled “Project Growth” that discusses this. We shall see. Their track record is layoffs around the holidays

I bet the people that say they are ready to opt out are nurses. There is such a shortage in the nursing field we can walk into a place and get hired immediately. We also would get paid more than we get paid at Humana. If you’re in a different area it can be a real challenge finding another job.

I wish I would have opted out last time which is why I think it’s too good to be true they’d offer an opt out again. Let’s hope
