It's not as if the management just got rid of hundreds of employees because we needed to cut costs, right? It really is infuriating to see things like this happen. Why did we have to get rid of people if we're now hiring and why were those jobs not offered to people who were just laid off?

We aren’t hiring. From what I’ve heard, there’s a hiring freeze unless you are backfilling a position someone left. There are zero new requisitions being approved through the end of 2022 is my understanding.
