Putting aside everything that makes me unhappy at this company (And the list is long), there was never more reason to try to land a better paying job. Let’s be honest. The inflation is realistically well above 10%. Iz WF going to give me a 10% raise? Absolutely not. We are maybe talking about a 2-3% raise if I’m lucky. That changes nothing as I continue to be poorer than I was just one year ago. At this point it is either I find a job that pays at least 10% more or make my peace with the fact that my life has decreased. I like the first option better.

You nailed it. I got Bushed twice when he exploded H1Bs.
Those who say they can leave at any time ad get a job anywhere will get a rude awakening in about 20 years.
This isn't an airport, you don't need to announce your departure.
“The annual .5 - 2% increase that WF gives employees is a joke! Majority of company's that actually care about the workforce gives an annual 3%.”
Yeah that 2% to 3% increase is massive.
We’re going to be super sad to see you leave anonymous user! I’m sure you were the top dog on your team and beloved by everyone. Going to be hard to replace your talents! Best of luck
Dear diary…
its not just our wages what have taken a hit, its all our savings that some of have built up over decades. Good luck to all those up in age who try and get by in retirement.
Agreed!
You think you are going to get a 3% raise, lol. You don't know how raises work.
I left 2 months ago from a very toxic tech team. The new company I joined is polar opposite of what I was dealing with. Permanent WFH and a small increase. The annual .5 - 2% increase that WF gives employees is a joke! Majority of company's that actually care about the workforce gives an annual 3%. And then the forced low rating annual performance for 1 victim on a team! No increase for that victim!
Do not fear leaving, it may take some time to find something new. Life is so much better now without a psycho manager.
