"Business update" invite means lay offs. It's a dial in phone call where employees are placed in silent mode while Management fires them. Very impersonal & demeaning without the option to ask questions since employees are placed in "listen only mode." Then told to wait for your termination letter through email. It's like someone dumping you over the phone then immediately disconnecting.

Did “business update” mean layoffs or did anyone get those invites that weren’t laid off?
At Phoenix Shoc they let go of a few selected HLA from the bilingual team, associates, enhanced team . They made the decision based off “data” and manager input in a meeting. If you are well liked you should be okay. However, they did say that more meetings will be happening for the remaining of the day today 6/22 at Phoenix Shoc.
