Toxic work environment, underpaid employees, terrible management, no work-life balance, profit is put above everything else (which a company like this should never do)... With constant layoffs added into the mix, more and more people are choosing to leave, and fewer and fewer are willing to join. Humana will soon have an Amazon problem on its hands (it'll run out of employees it can hire to replace those who're leaving).

Leaving the toxic work place that Humana had was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I really loved working there for many years but over the last year or so it became unbearable. I am sorry to hear that so many of friends and co-workers may end up without a job but I am pretty sure that when everyone was told that raises wouldn't come out until July of this year we all knew it meant RIF
I hate to hear so many folks going through this. Sure as other replies point out it is a corporation, but quality will subsequently will impact its productivity and ultimately the bottom line. I suppose right now they're just looking to keep their executives afloat and everybody else can fight for bread and water.
I agree it used to be HORRIBLE. Much better now. Just go to work and do your job and don’t listen to their noise. They are hard to ignore but it is the only way to survive. You can always get another job with another company. Job market is going strong right now.
I actually think it’s getting better…it’s certainly not as rough as it was a few years ago
You do know that Humana is owned by Shareholders and that the prime reason for the company is to make money? You can WANT many other things from the company but somethings are writ in stone. Make money, pay tax and follow the law. Everything else is a bonus.
