Given a huge dataset of numbers, you can manufacture umpteen stats on how your business is doing. Sales is plagued by a mad pursuit of internal metrics... and nearly zero about what customers really want.
They are going well. Just look at the revenue in the quarterlies... going up.
Sales is about relationship but, product, pricing, warranty/guarantee (if applicable) and customer service. Relationship is lost if the other requirements are not met,
Sales engineering leader is more focused on tools, metrics and spreadsheets than getting out in the field and selling. Selling is about relationships. Customers buy on relationships. Cloud team is scared of their own shadow - how are they going to build a relationship if they don’t lift their eyes from their data?
No changes so far
They don’t know bc they don’t talk to their customers aka they aren’t selling
new business or not will set the tone.
Same here. The last year was amazing, this year not so much. Do more with less, that's the mantra. This year was OK so far but May was soft and June will be the same. I'd say it's still OK but you can feel the tension in the air. Customers are not freezing budgets yet and the slow down seems to be hitting high tech mostly.
Had a great year last year. They just upped our quotas by 40% and lowered our commission. Basically do way more for significantly less and they increased pricing on already failing products. Been a daunting few weeks and vibes aren’t good. Maybe everything will work out.
