Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Cloud observation

Quote - “We believe that this revenue growth spike indicates that our infrastructure business has now entered a hyper-growth phase"

Is this the same infrastructure business that runs in co-lo sites, rather than their own data centres? The larger customers using OCI are practically paid to use it, or as a result of other oddities, e.g., the telesis project, where TikTok have no choice due to regulations. OCI has some very good people and I am sure the service is well designed - but, the reputation of Oracle means most serious businesses avoid them and it is laughable to think they will seriously compete against AWS, Azure and GCP.

Sadly, the iceberg has been in clear sight for some time but now weather conditions (economy) have gotten worse. Hope that all good people and there are many, will be ok. The rats… pretty sure few if, any will survive. Thinking that the old corrupt business model meant to be a wall of protection will hit the iceberg soon and the Mgmt reorg will not rebuild or include the corrupt true id--ts that have lied, stolen, cheated and abused many for too long. They in fact are largely responsible for taking O down. That business model gone bad was THE most costly mistake O has made.
The id--ts that sold their souls will no longer exist to O.

Handcuffs most likely for just the one & the rest will probably walk free.

If a large scale Oracle implementation company , wanted to move to cloud, what can they do? Move to AWS/Azure or move to OCI? Surprisingly, i know of few companies moving to OCI cloud, because of ERP implementations, heavy investment in oracle tech. etc. It would cost them millions more to move away from oracle and to AWS/Azure etc.
