In my territory there are several temporary store closures due to staffing. My store is running 3 reps at most per day, some days 2 (should be 5 minimum). Can’t imagine this lasts much longer. Verizon needs to do a reevaluation of what they are going to do with the stores cuz this won’t fly for iPhone launch

Maybe they can consolidate a dozen failing stores to one failing store. The alternative is to hire tons of staff for a once a year iphone launch that makes very little actual profit.
Whats coming is mass store closures. No one waits in line for iphones. They order it through this thing called the internet and have it delivered by something called Fedex.
These launches aren’t what they used to be.
My multi store has been having that same question! We are screwed for iPhone launch and the holidays. 1 manager and 2 reps a day isnt going to fly. If no one new is hired by mid July, then it’s gonna be a sad.
That would explain the hiring freeze in Operations
closing stores saves the company money. closed stores drives the helpless elderly customers to call in their problems. have store clerks been offered customer service work from home positions? if so, take it before you're laid off.
There is a store around here that recently perm closed. Can't figure which one..just that they were asking around if anyone needed their back of house items as replacements.
Aren’t most of the temp closures and reduced hours still happening because of covid ? They shut a store down in Texas for this reason a few weeks back.
Do you think that they are actually that stupid at the top or that this is/was all part of their plan?
I'd agree.
