While there are many complainers here who say they can't wait to get out of here, there are probably a lot of those who care about keeping their job as long as possible. But what can we do to actually improve our chances of keeping it? I try to give my best even though I am aware that it is not enough.

Be a YES Man to everyone. I mean everyone and never give your opinion just support everyone else’s.
When it comes to reductions made for financial reasons, there's not much you can do.
I guess you could offer yourself up for a voluntary pay cut to the bottom of your band. That's all I can think of.
Just laugh at your manager’s jokes and remember to buy something to treat your team so you can be in their good side. Then you are all set. Hint: hardworking alone is not needed
