Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Fear not. The grass is actually greener on the other side

With Oracle’s looming death, corrupt Mgrs & VPs, layoffs, VP filing fraudulent patent and upcoming media attention. focused on his demise, SEC ethics violations forthcoming, undeveloped product development causing much grief and public embarrassment to the company, employee abuse etc …. All the unhealthy things that Oracle has become due to lack of qualified leadership & accountability
However… There is much hope & be grateful because Oracle is a leader in causing a huge shift in our history.
The big tech companies that do not care about people are having serious trinkets. Investors moving money out the big tech companies & funding startups with positive mission statements that will guide their future success that are about helping people., the planet with ruled and accountability for all people including management. This not a foreign practice in most places as it is lay Oracle. The arrogant oligarchy is falling, self destructing with no one in their corner and no where to go.
Whereas these startups that are providing a positive environment for employees with encouragement & rewards, training etc. are thriving.
There are startups that are succeeding due prob archaic employee treatment like O.

See below for one example, this company provides software that is adaptable for any business model small to large. Read last sentence below.
They are legal. They have rules and accountability set with positive fair employee managers. They do not believe in the archaic incompetent corrupt fraudulent patent filings. stealing work from subordinates , negative mind control, employee abuse tactics, employees are commodities mentality, etc. The list is too long for this post.
They believe in people.product, service and success.
Be encouraged. If you are in the lay-off be thankful and find a company as in this example. If you don’t are not in lay-off don’t let age be a factor for you because it’s not for many of the companies that now care about people. Oracle is already on life support it’s just a matter of time before the plug will be pulled investors cut your loses, pull out invest in one the startups that put people first and you make the money loss back quickly.

They do have to limits: Oracle VPs do-g stand a chance a getting even a job cleaning toilets at these new places that practice incredible management styles.

Sandy Springs-based OneTrust has more than 3,000 employees; 1,000 are in Atlanta. Its goals are measured with two bottom lines, said Barday: its impact on people and the planet, and its financial success.

The negative attitude of Mgmt is a result of cheating, lieing. Stealing work, fraudulent patents. Terminating emoluments because they a better job than most, abusing their positions in leadership, degrading others, gouging customers, etc
A person can not be happy when they hurt and disrespect others. Being dishonest and all that, I mention cause people lose their self respect. Naturally they scheme, try to manipulate, try to control others and in one or another they. eventually self destruct.
A.company by all this stuff suffers.

You are correct, as unfortunate as it is for a good person like you, to leave there really is no other way of this mess because corruptness has gone on for so long with so many.

I am optimistic by nature but I am also a realist. I wanted to believe there could positive change at Oracle and the company that once had a good name could become successful on many levels, again. But truth is, Oracle is on its death bed. Unhealthy living for too long can cause disease and Oracle is terminal and could be well advanced in stage 4.
It’s very sad it not a peaceful death. When we leave they often talk and when there is illegal activity eventually people get caught. Oracle is very very close right now for that to happen

The jobs and the tasks to be performed are very much the same (in fact Oracle copies the business model of the competition.) As well, the products are all very comparable. What makes the difference is the attitude. Everyone at Oracle is walking under the shadow of a cloud of negativity. Now don’t blame the workers, the reasons for that negative attitude are real. Poor wages, inferior management, and spreadsheets (read accountants) are ruining the future prospects. I don’t see a way out unless you get out!

Maybe the last few chapters of Oracle’s story will be used as an example for what not to do. After of years building LE’s wealth, it’s become an uncared for dinosaur waiting to be put out of its misery.

O is in sad state but, have to say they did it themselves.
glad not to be there.
shame, tho - poorly managed and now wasting away until total decay.
