Did I miss an announcement?

They hired 10 people from Wells for Chicago. They can’t bring their clients with them. GTFOH
Dopes!
Regarding the new Chicago Wealth office, this merger never ceases to amaze me. I wonder how much Truist paid (and how many employees were sacrificed) to be a perennial non-player in the Chicago wealth market? Just like their Manhattan wealth office, it is all about arrogance and ego, and zero about ROI.
Despite the years-long office presence in Manhattan, if you asked 1,000 people walking in FRONT OF THE OFFICE what a “Truist” is, not one of them could even tell you it was a bank. This insecurity fueled desire to try to be JP Morgan would be comical if it was the executives own money, instead of shareholder capital. Hey, how about just stop the bleeding in the core markets where you can actually compete?
Double the size of the bank and push the stock price down to hBBT price. Keep those buybacks going. Y’all miss that ole evangelist yet?
Banks were up today. Interest rates went up
Possibly Truist’s announcement regarding their Wealth team expanding into Chicago. U.S.’s third largest market.
