Just wondering is this still a thing? If it is wow the company is doing great !!
I wonder if any group or segment of population would feel discriminated against .
Thanks Hans !!!!!

I identify as some one who's going to pcab. Checkmate.
I’m sure it does. I hear they have a trans of wireless TOW now since there aren’t enough trans in leadership roles. Go ahead and down vote me. You know someone has already pitched the idea if it’s not actually out there already.
stop trolling Marni!
I think if it this way has the morale, the stock , or the business been improved since Wow was established?
It also opens the company to lawsuits if one group or class has a advantage over another with promotions, favors, raises, layoffs go a certain way. It all seams unfair.
How many lawsuites would be filed if there was a men of wireless and not a women or wireless? Is this really equal
Women were never meant to be in the work place. Capitalist scam to hid inflation (need two incomes to survive) under the guise of women's liberation and equality.(more tax revenue) There is a reason there are more men in higher positions, it's called science. DEI is shoving a brown person or a transgender in a role and being like "loom we are diverse" not because they are the most or even qualified. The white house is even doing it. Virtue signaling at the max. Sure we are doing it for optics but it's not the best way to run a business. Throw all that sh-t out the door.
I'm just going to say something it seems like no one wants to hear: Even though you may personally feel offended by X or Y sometimes it just makes sense to go with the rising tide than not.
By having volunteer hours it's good PR, by having constant training and bringing in consultants it gets Verizon ranked highly for training so it's good PR, By having ERG race and issue specific it's good PR, and also; it's good from an organizational standpoint. Having WoW it's good PR and increases buy-in of some talented women who otherwise might go to another employer. ERG? Banks, VCs, and the new generation like it. Makes sense.
All of these things are created to spin Verizon as both an inclusive employer and a forward-thinking leader in the space. This helps recruit employees, this helps secure funding, and this allows Verizon to take advantage of industry-specific and other media outlets to its benefit.
Do you agree? Doesn't matter. Is there a major disconnect between good talent management and the junk Verizon is? yes. Does that make WoW useless? No.
Everything a company does is to create value. Verizon has a brain drain but is successful in almost every other space.
Wow: Affirmative action, quota program paid by Verizon for most unqualified people to party in the company. None of them last on their position more than a year. Most woke company in the world!
There are plenty of companies out there who do DEI initiatives because it makes economic sense. If you’re going to blame the company not doing well because of DEI initiatives, have a bridge in London to sell you. VZ is still dominated in its senior leadership ranks of men.
Verizon. Verizon is the group for men of wireless…
Women have to join extracurricular activities to be considered for retail promotions in this company, and men don’t.
This isn’t an inclusion program, it’s public relations and an extra vigorous application process to determine which females should fill the few slots they are mandated to fill with women.
Of course there are groups that feel discriminated against . You’d never see a group for men of wireless , or caucasians of wireless . Gotta remember if it excludes men or whites people , it’s A ok in their book
