Oracle truly is a shitbox company. For the privilege of working here I’ve earned -15% decrease over my tenure with stellar reviews. I’d say it was my fault but honestly I liked the work and did it well but Oracle is just a terrible employer. Rather than rewarding employees in a fair manner they took the cheap approach that just shows that they don’t value employees in the least. A ton of people moved on but a terrible way to operate.
HappyToBeHere - wow your post summarized the situation so good. She is truly uncaring and terrible.

- One raise back in 2018 - 5% bump from $78k to $82k. Was totally arbitrary by the way, just up to the random a$$clownery of the leadership at the time as I appreciated the bump but certainly didn't deserve it over all the others in the group who got nothing.
On a related note, lots of fun to be had by going to the inflation calculator tools at https://www.in2013dollars.com/
"Fun" in that there I can confirm there that my $79k salary back in 2015 is like having a $98k salary today. So my raise of 5% in 2018 got me one fifth the way to breaking even with the 25% increase in inflation over those seven years. So basically Oracle is giving me 80% of the compensation they gave me on day 1, and now asks me to do exponentially more work than I was doing back then, all the while I practice my best efforts at deflecting the neverending onslaught of absolute bu11$hit coming down the pike from the inept leadership team. Does Oracle charge more for support contracts in 2022 than they did in 2015? I suspect they do, in which case justification for not also increasing compensation is nothing but total a$$clownery.
Oh yes, and when this subject matter was brought up in the Q&A on one of those useless all hands snoozefests a few months ago - you know, the ones where the "all hands" meaning actually takes on the totally predictable outcome of turning into the most useless members of the "leadership team" using all their hands to circle jurk each other while holding us hostage - in the form of questions pointing out the snowballing impact of attrition, no raises, increased workload, and burnout on the supposed goals of "customer success" and "flawless execution" and "blah blah blah poke my eyes out please", guess what the response was from the exec VP of absolutely nothing was? Avoidance and nonanswers at best.
But then they accidently left the zoom running after the call, where a few of the VPs of whatever useless function were hanging around to self congratulate and wipe off their hands, and one of them - the supposed VP in charge of not driving AppsUL into the ditch (but is currently failing miserably), who would make a wonderful STUDENT, not TEACHER of a kindergarten class due to her obsession with talking to everyone like they are 5 years old, having us play games, wasting time voting on $tupid $hit that nobody cares about, reminding us to participate in quizzes because they're fun, gushing over how neat badges are, spending hundreds of work hours to come up with new mottos, etc. - decided it would be a good idea to start saying that the employees who were bringing up these real concerns for the ongoing concern of the business were $tupid, and that asking about things like plans for dealing with attrition and losing expertise and impact of no raises were $tupid. All the VPs still on at that point were $tupid AF, but those others besides miss kindergarten student at least had the awareness to realize her comments were probably going to raise some eyebrows, so they went into quick damage control mode and then shut the zoom down.
Point is, this place is a garbage heap that has nothing but unqualified a$$clowns in leadership roles, so expecting anything besides more of the same inexplicable nonsense if you stick around is not even wishful thinking. Rather it's delusional.
Here's to hoping for a layoff ASAP!!!

Trash company. I wasn’t actively looking pre-inflation but these numbers no longer work.
Keep crowdsourcing that salary info!
If they had an ounce of dignity they’d do salary bands like any other decent, ethical company and bring the people they keep (post layoff) to the correct salary level. That would stave off more losses. In terms of some legacy products and even the newer products the older guard (7+ years) are probably the most experienced and knowledgeable employees they have. Obviously the true talent left. The attrition has been massive. They should take steps to compensate the remaining people fairly. But they won’t and they just keep asking for more and more when they provide absolutely nothing to motivate people.
So many are significantly underpaid. Some by 50%. Might as well jump!

The sad thing is Oracle went like Microsoft under Ballmer. I have a friend that is EXACT position as me. Support. Not the s-xiest IT position at all BUT…
Ballmer tried this quota of only certain percentage get 4s and 5s (a la Oracle now). Nadella came in and said this is absolute bu-----t. Rewarded people and look where they are…Oracle cut costs, lost best talent, struggling.
Bottom line is I sh-t the bed but Oracle truly the worst to the people that truly wanted to work the hardest for them.

Top performer the whole time and 3% raises every 3 years before that. Yes, doesn’t even outpace inflation. I stayed for family issues but this is Oracle.
No lie. A lot like me.

Sadly this is true. I know firsthand.
Best to get the best deal you can coming in the door because raises are few and far between. Oracle is known for being tight with raises. RSUs help mitigate that somewhat, but you're really losing out if you're sticking around long-term without more consistent raises.
There are IC5s hired 20+ years ago only making $75k (Orlando and Colorado). That’s a fact. No raises in 5+ years. Yes, that’s Oracle and certainly the argument can be made those folks should have moved on.
How about IC3 and IC4s in support? I have heard that many IC3 and IC4s who joined the company 10+ years ago are only making around $100k without any stock or bonus. Is this true?
You are a sad little man to only get one 9% raise in five years. And as an IC5, you are significantly underpaid both in base salary, and in stock and bonus.
You are being roundly taken advantage of.
I would do something about this immediately to improve your lot in life.
