BB sent an inspiring message recently that stuck with me. I do think some leaders know how awful it's been becoming but can't steer the ship overnight. I'm worried about the market and how talent will fall in all this. Without workforce, we're nothing.
Some executives have fallen victim to similar movies like Wolf of Wallstreet or Boiler Room with their own Assoc. VPs and Directors where they've been putting on a show. They may have done so out of fear, or their directs may have been narcissistic or high-functioning sociopaths who thrive in a manipulative culture.
Either way, shutting those people out, the people who did share and will deliver the message that is scary to share; those who don't have a pedestal to do it from & aren't recognized or get a seat at the table; it takes guts to do that. Some of these leaders tossed their own directs or borrowed resources under the bus a they've tried.
BB's message is asking those leaders & their leaders, to reign that in. There cannot be any further grandstanding if we want to thrive like we once were known for. To get there, we have to listen to people who have nothing else to lose.
