Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Q2 Horrible Numbers, get ready for Layoffs and Hire freeze

The numbers were horrible, the stock went down $10 and right now looks bad compared to ATT and Tmobile.

So what's next?

You all know what's next when companies go red in their books...

Vteamers Layoffs! Reconstruction..... (Higher Qs) Less Commission to pay!!

Second thing, Hire Freeze!! Yep get ready to continue with short staff no time to waste money on hiring, training, hiring bonuses and then 3 months later they leave because they are kids and that's what kids do, move from job to job.

Start saying goodbye to your SMs =)

Drinking the Kool-Aid and kissing A$$ won't stop the situation....

and 5G ROTF that doesn't work please don't sell those 5G Home Internet and month later comes back because the speeds are worse than what you get with your mobile phone.

Everyone in NJ is well aware how screwed up everything is. Everything at basking ridge is screwed up too. This isn't some malicious attack on retail. It's flat out incompetence, corruption, and caring about themselves over others.

Verizon thought they could get rid of most corporate stores and outsource IT, customer service, tech etc...and still be the best.

You can't maintain a Ferrari by using cheap parts and cheap labor. It just doesn't work.

New Jersey believes all is well. Nothing to see here. Our surveys blame local leadership. Outsourcing, low pay and being plain old cheap caused our demise.

Lack of leadership. Lack of direction. Lack of vision.

100% accurate , the more pressure on staff in retail stores will certainly attract union talk. For the record I’m not a believer in unions but no doubt a recipe for disaster is coming.

I bet the stores get squeezed even more. Union will be looking better and better.
