Explanation for weak sales results

Ford management needs to explain whether supply constraints fully explain its weak sales results -- or whether demand for its vehicles is starting to flag.

Yes, sales are down across the whole industry, but I would like to hear what is the explanation for Ford's significantly worse results than some competitors?

Poor sales is more than just supply chain issues. Because of all the forced vaccination threats in Canada many people I know (myself included) and their families will never buy another Ford product ever.

It’s even worse now that Ford Canada dropped the vax mandate. Those that got vaxed to keep their jobs now hate Ford Motor Company. They’ve all seen several of their coworkers carried out of the plant by ambulance for chest pain only days after getting the vax.

Doesn’t matter whether you pro vax or not. Many many employees hate does for forcing them. So much for freedom of choice.

@1wge that’s hilarious. EVERY EV WE HAVE SOLD HAS BEEN RECALLED.

Ford will not have those legacy product quality costs as the company transformation plan is evolving and being implemented. The Model e and digital business model will make these kind of costs a thing of the past while increasing earnings outside of the sale of vehicles.

The reason for this is simple: quality.

Remember when Jim and Bill (the two -headed monster) used to talk about how we could build cars better than Tesla? Can we even make that claim anymore?!?

Endless recalls. Bad reviews on quality even on high profile vehicles. And then I read that we are about to lose the EV tax credit for our plugin EVs.

Sell your stock. It is going to zero.

It is ever so annoying that Ford continues to exaggerate and spin underperformance as grand news. It has gotten to the point that one can’t believe a single thing that comes out of Ford, it’s leaders or the FordFreePress.
Amaze-ba--s that they can accurately report GM sales figures but not Ford’s.

You know I actually want to see Ford succeed, but man oh man you can’t fix something until you are honest about what is broke. Jeez Bill, the tide is out and everyone can see ya, just fess up and fix the mess.

It's easy, people don't want to pay pay big $$ for a new car that could set their house on fire, where the windshields fall out and the engine will drop a valve after 3 months...
