Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Saying prayers for everyone

Fiserv is treating employees worse than ever and everybody working here deserves so much more. Don't let them convince you otherwise is true. I see people getting depressed and it breaks my heart. You are ten times better than this company! So many other companies would be lucky to have you as their employee. This place is not worth your stress and your worry.

FBs only management trick is to play the state tax credit game...which is not the same as value creation. Work from office/butts in seats, whatever you want to call it, is the driver for negotiating those deals..as well as shifting remote workers to offices. We must "create" 3000 jobs in NJ to get the money. Move the bodies, get a dollar. Lather, rinse, repeat. Seven years from now, or whenever the NJ deal expires, there will be a big announcement about the new innovation center in Tennessee, or Virginia, or North Carolina or whoever strokes the biggest check. We'll single mindedly manage the tax angles...surely, quality and servicing will just follow suit, right?

At FD there were constant RIFs and site closures and reorganizations. Frank also banned WFH back in 2015 all to get a “shadow RIF” that didn’t fall under the WARN Act. He does the same thing year after year - focus on reducing value going to employees. His only focus is the stock price in the short term. My advice to anyone working there is find someplace else if you can.

It is lip service…truly they prefer everyone in the office….they don’t walk the talk…anyone considering joining this company need to really look into this…why then are so many seasoned professionals leaving…very tough place…

"Thoughts and prayers." A tired and disingenuous sentiment. Help yourself by helping yourself. Get your resume' in order, network, and have faith that Fiserv is the least best place to work for the next THOUSANDS of years.

They keep promoting Berkley Heights. I honestly don’t care about a big office. The commute is going to be such a nightmare. Long commute and high stress. I was hired as hybrid and I go in 3 days a week and 2 wfh. I hope it stays like that. Do they seriously think coming in 5 days a week is going to improve collaboration ? We are coming into the office to virtually collaborate on teams. I don’t get this mindset and I don’t know how they will retain talent if so many other jobs have much better flexibility.

Six months is a great time to find a new job. You can say you learned something new but want to grow yourself at your next employer during your interviews.

Frank said the company wasn't going to operate like this any longer. He was changing the playbook for leadership. Just a bunch of lip service. Frank lied

Never thought the term "thoughts and prayers" would apply to going to work in the morning...but sadly now seems to apply. The ones who remain don't feel safe in role and after rounds of senseless destruction, the energy to rally and try to keep up the morale and workload is fading quickly... It's testament to the talent and dedication of those still on payroll that there hasn't been a dramatic gap in services, but at some point cracks will necessarily appear...and woe to the first one to begin the blame game.

Thank you I needed to hear this today! It is so easy to get discouraged when you see your clients suffering for the changes being made :(
