I’m looking to connect with Mortgage Consultants that were terminated due to changing a value on a loan in order to qualify for an appraisal waiver. I’m curious on everyone’s thoughts.

I’ll stay annon for now. Curious as to how other mortgage consultants’ terminations were coded. I was initially told I was fired over a “policy violation” and it would not prevent me from continuing work in the industry. A week later I received a letter that my code was changed to “fraud/falsification of docs”. I was told by other mortgage lenders that I’m not hirable. Fraud seems like a stretch for this.
There was CLEAR direction from management to “play around with the numbers until you were able to get a waiver to fire”. I had said that verbatim in my investigation call. Lots of moving pieces here but I can’t help but wonder if it’s retaliation.
A co worker just told me that there’s more investigations being opened up for deceptive sales tactics. Wondering if there will be another wave of terminations soon…..
Most salesman will do anything to close the deal. Especially when all they see is dollar signs
Hey editor, check out my source. An anonymous poster on a layoff board, they may or may not have ever worked for the bank. I’m good to run with this, yes?
Um, go for it?
